About Roshni
The ROSHNI ABHIYAN is an initiative to clear the backlog of cataract cases in the West Tripura district. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Tripura, Sri Biplab Kumar Deb on 27th April, 2022.
The Hallmarks of this programme are -
a) Regular and frequent ' cataract screening camps' at locations close to patients' home.
b) Selection of patients for cataract surgery.
c) Free Transport of patients to place of surgery ( AGMC & GBP HOSPITAL as well as IGM HOSPITAL) and back to hospital conducting the screening camp.
d) Cataract surgery by Ophthalmic Surgeons, providing lens, medicines and black glasses at the end of surgery.
e) Post-operative follow up of operated patients
Under this mission, the patients NEED NOT SPEND any money. Moreover, the benefits of AYUSHMAN CARD are also applicable if the patient is qualified for getting the benefits.
